Starting June 19 Adobe will switch to a new subscription model that costs 33% more.
Before that date, Adobe and OETC are partnering to offer OETC Member and New Member school districts in WA, OR, MT, AK, and ID an exceptional window of opportunity to obtain and deploy Adobe software at a special tier consortium price. The price offered on this is $21.96 per FTE thru June 18, after this date the new EEA program on June 21 goes into effect and the pricing will be $30 per FTE.
The offer includes Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium (which includes Adobe Acrobat XI Pro), plus Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, Adobe Captivate 6 and Adobe Presenter 7. Access to these titles at an exceptional price is based on the Full-Time-Equivalent (FTE) count of faculty and staff. The software may be installed on any institutionally owned computers within the district. All districts participating will benefit from the collective group of FTE at a single low price, starting at a minimum of 300 FTE. To participate, each school district must contact Adobe or OETC and must enroll in the program by June 18, 2013. This agreement is a 3 year term with 3 annual payments due at the beginning and on the anniversary of the agreement. Additionally, districts wishing to obtain Premiere Elements 11 or Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium on a per-seat basis may do so for various video programs within the district. This program includes two updates per year for the next three years and will include our next release of CC which will also include Adobe Edge Animate CC and Adobe Muse CC.

This agreement offers districts universal access to digital tools that may be used for project-based-learning classroom lessons on any institutionally owned computer. It offers streamlined purchasing and order management for the acquisition of Adobe software. Districts may have improved budget planning with a single annual payment, at a fixed price for the 3 year term. It allows for simplified compliance and version control of software that may be deployed easily across district computers. IT professionals in the district can choose flexible deployment options by installing the necessary Adobe software for a given faculty, staff or lab computer.

Adobe offers a number of resources to help districts be successful with the use of Adobe software. The resources include access to thousands of hours of free video tutorials through Adobe TV, yearlong curriculum guides for teaching Adobe software in the classroom and the Adobe Education Exchange portal for faculty contributed lesson plans from around the world.
