About OETC RFPs

OETC is a nonprofit that empowers educational institutions. We represent our membership in organizing cost-effective, cooperative technology purchases through a sealed, competitive bid process to negotiate contracts that abide by state procurement statutes.

How It Works:

  1. OETC advertises a multi-state, open, competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) based on a non-brand specification on behalf of our public membership.
  2. Trained OETC scorers evaluate proposals based on a disclosed rubric.
  3. Awards are based on the lowest price offering from a qualified respondent.

  1. Question regarding the RFP for Emergency Response. In exhibit B of this request, Item A-1, OETC is asking for five years of experience providing a fully hosted application. Is this a deal-breaker? The technology has advanced and their are new players. Is it really your intent to eliminate new players in this space or are you going to just discount points if this requirement is not met?

  2. I have a question about the networking and security RFP. Will you consider services in addition to equipment for this response? For example, a security service, such as firewall that is offered for a monthly cost?
