This event demonstrates what a common vision of a 21st century learning environment can look like across grades levels. Eugene School District 4J, a site-based district, is committed to adopting a digital school model of high access computing and other digital technologies across the curriculum and grade levels. At present, Howard Elementary School and the Arts and Technology Academy K – 8 have fully implemented this vision with other schools following a district phased-in approach

What you’ll learn.

This site visit focuses on a 21st century learning environments in the elementary and middle school with high technology access and use by students and teachers anytime, anywhere. You will hear from school leaders, have the opportunity to see these laptop learning initiatives in action, and interact with students, teachers and campus administrators. In addition, school officials and Apple personnel will share the story of the journey down the road to this 21st century learning environment. It is recommended that districts send a team of 5 – 6 people.

Cost Apple will host lunch and activities for district teams during the forum. Schools are responsible for transportation to the institute location and lodging, if needed. Apple recommends staying at the Valley River Inn or the Hilton Eugene Hotel.
